On The Buses (This song is NOT on the CD))

(Mad About Theatre)

I either wrote or co-wrote these songs for the 'Mad About Theatre' Company who put on fantastic shows with proceeds going to charities such as MacMillan Cancer support. You can't buy the tracks or CDs from this site but if you contact Indi Allen at www.madabouttheatrecompany.com she may be able to help.

This song is from the show 'Charing Cross Chumps' which was performed at The West Cliff Theatre, Clacton in 2007. Based on a group of workers from a London bus depot all pulling together during the 2nd World War, the show won a 'Best New Musical' award.

Hand In Hand (This song is NOT on the CD)

(Matthew Gough)

This song has a rather special guest on it! The version here has my own vocals but for the show Indi Allen, the Director, had a touch of genius and had Kaylee Barnett, a young girl of 7 years old sing it; it went down a storm. From the show 'Charing Cross Chumps' performed at The West Cliff Theatre 2007.

Gladys Over's Song (This song is NOT on the CD)

(Mad About Theatre)

Let's just say that Gladys was a rather confused individual!  Beautifully sung buy John Ellson from the show 'Charing Cross Chumps', staged at the Westcliff Theatre, November 2007.

Clacton Rock (This song is NOT on the CD)

(Mad About Theatre)

This song is from the show 'No Ifs Or Butlins'. The show was based on the huge Butlins holiday camp at Clacton-on-Sea, when the seaside Town and 'Butlins' was in its heyday! The show itself was staged at the towns own Westcliff Theatre in May 2008 and raised over £6000 for Macmillan Cancer Support. For this opener to the show I tried to get a happy 'Beach Boys' vibe.

Knobbly Knees (This song is NOT on the CD)

(Mad About Theatre)

There can't be too many songs written about 'Knobbly Knees Competitions' but this is one. I tried to mimic the actor who was going to sing or 'say' the song in my demo but he didn't want to do it (hope he wasn't offended!) Instead they played my original recording over the speakers. It wasn't really what I wanted but the Monty Python style came through quite well and it looked good the way they staged it. From the show 'No Ifs Or Butlins', staged at the Westcliff Theatre, May 2008.

Butlins To GoGo (This song is NOT on the CD)

(Mad About Theatre)

This was the 'baddie's' song. 'D.Molition' wanted to build a housing estate on top of Butlins and this is his song. Sung by Asten Bray, I had good fun trying to make him sound like Elvis! The voice on the intro. and outro. is that of James Payne who played 'Ern A. Fortune', D.Molition's boss! From the Show 'No Ifs or Butlins' performed at The Westcliff Theatre, Clacton 2008. This was the last 'MAD' theatre show I worked on before I started work on my own brand new CD, 'This House' - out now!
